Status

Final Update
Phase 2A and 2B of the Bob Leonard Walkway has been substantially completed. 
Inspection at substantial completion was performed by the City of St. Charles on June 18, 2010.  During this inspection, several punchlist items were observed which required resolution prior to final completion and final payment. As of July 8, 2010, Copenhaver Construction, Inc. has reported that the majority of punchlist items have been completed.  It is anticipated that the remaining punchlist items, will be completed by the end of July 2010.

Restoration and reconstruction work included: restoration and reconstruction of Indiana Street east of First Street; excavation and installation of the clay brick walkway; and placement of clump emergent and wetland plants along the Fox River.

Construction of the Bob Leonard Walkway is substantially complete. Wetland vegetation plantings will be set along the Fox River bank in spring, 2010.

Background
The Bob Leonard Walkway construction project was awarded to Copenhaver Construction, Inc. of Gilberts, IL by the City of St. Charles City Council. Copenhaver Construction began the project on October 15, 2009.
