City Adopts New Strategic Plan

In November, City Council will vote to adopt a new strategic plan, the outcome of a process entitled “St. Charles 2014: The Return of Charlemagne.”

“We started with a desire to establish a vision for the year 2014,” said City Administrator, Brian Townsend.

“The planning efforts included participation from a diverse group of stakeholders- including residents, businesses and community organizations- and will therefore help guarantee its success,” Townsend said.

“This plan creates a new mission for the City of St. Charles, and will help to improve communication within the community, and provide a consensus philosophy among elected officials,” Townsend added.

“I am very proud of the people who worked hard to create this vision for our future,” said Townsend. Strategic planning efforts will ultimately affect all employees, visitors, citizens, businesses, and people of St. Charles both in our daily lives and long-term plans.
