Armed Robbery - St. Charles Subway

On November 3, 2013, at approximately 5:25 p.m., St. Charles Police responded to an “armed robbery that just occurred” dispatch at the Subway located at 570 S. Randall Road. 

Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and spoke with an employee who advised that a male subject described as a:  

Male white, approximately 60 years of age, 6’0" - 6’1", 200-220 pounds, with gray hair and a short to medium beard; wearing a red baseball hat, blue denim long sleeve button up shirt, blue jeans, unknown shoes; also wearing light/powder blue latex gloves and having a disheveled appearance.

The subject approached the employee and stated he had a gun; however, did not display the weapon, and demanded money. The employee stated that the offender’s hands were unconcealed during the incident, and never threatened the safety of the employee. The subject was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in an unknown direction. There was no vehicle information given to officers, other than a silver four door SUV (make/model unknown) that drove past shortly after the incident. It is unknown at this time if the SUV was involved.

Responding officers checked the area; however, located no signs of the suspect.

The case is under investigation.
