Restoration work on the Municipal Building continues on schedule this week. Window replacements on the upper floor of the east elevation of the Old City Hall and South Annex building are proceeding and will continue into next week. Replacement of the limestone base and stone copings is ongoing and a final washing of this elevation is scheduled in the coming weeks. All of the scaffolding along the east elevation has been removed and the public sidewalk has been re-opened with only minor daily closures.

The Contractor is currently working on the installation of the center section of the roadway at the intersection of East Main Street and the Pheasant Run main entrance. This work will include grading, placement of aggregate sub-base, installation of bituminous sub-base and the installation of the new concrete roadway.

The contractor is scheduled to remove and replace the roadway surface on South 7th Street between Oak & Prairie St., South 5th Street between McKinley and Horne St., Alley South of Fellows between 3rd & 4th St, and Alley South of Roosevelt St., between 2nd St. & Elm St. starting early this week.
Grinding, resurfacing and striping of public parking lots at the southeast corner of Second Street (Route 31) and West Main Street, and at the northwest corner of Third Avenue and East Main Street is now complete.

The roofing contractor has completed approximately 90% of the replacement work. Roofing crews will be adding aluminum trim caps this week to conclude their work.
The contractor is expecting to begin placement of bituminous asphalt east and west of Tyler Road beginning July 25, 2013. This work activity is expected to take place over the next two weeks, during which time motorists may experience periodic delays caused by the delivery of bituminous materials.
