For this weeks update we are breaking the project down into three sections:
Northern Project Limits (S of Country Club Road to Cemetery)
The work completed for the week ending October 24, 2015 included pressure testing of the new watermain from the Q Center south to the cemetery.
The scheduled work for the week ending October 31, 2015 will include chlorination of the line from the Q Center south to the cemetery, inspection of new hydrants as well as flushing and testing of the new watermain from the cemetery south to just south of Allen Lane. Once the pressure test is complete, chlorination and sampling of this line will be performed.

The scheduled work for the week ending October 24, 2015 will include inspection of new hydrants as well as pressure testing of the new north portion of water main from Q Center south to the cemetery. Once the pressure test is complete, chlorination, flushing and sampling of the line will be performed.
The work completed for the week ending October 10, 2015 included the start of replacing all electrofused fittings on the HDPE pipe. The new valve and valve vault to the golf course was installed this week as well.

The contractor will begin work next week to start to remove the trees necessary to complete the streambank restoration work. In the following weeks they will be working on grading the channel and banks and installing stabilization measures along the creek.
Due to the scope and complexity of this project, weather delays, and some unforeseen circumstances, project completion has been pushed back to later this fall. The contractor has worked to make some repairs to he temporary patches on N. 5th Avenue to provide a smoother driving surface. They have also worked to clean up the right-of-way and other work areas, removing debris and construction materials that will are not needed for future work. The contractor will continue to work on the watermain along N.
