Grading work on the substation has restarted on 5/12/17 and is expected to go through 5/19/17. Work on the solar plant can begin once the substation grading work is completed.
The existing duct bank is exposed and broken apart, and excavation continues for the scheduled manhole delivery on Wednesday, May 10th. On Wednesday, the planned delivery of the will include a large crane to lift the bottom and top halves of the precast manhole into place. After that is completed, the duct installation across Kirk Road will start.
Site work has been delayed due to wet conditions. Major equipment, including overhead bus structures, and the transformer have been ordered. We are targeting the substation to be online for summer of 2018. Development of the solar plant at the site progressing with solar panels expected to be installed in July.
This project has been delayed due to delays at the related Legacy substation project. Regular rains have delayed regrading work and we estimate that work will start in early May and be completed by early June.
The City held the second Watershed Plan stakeholder meetings on Wednesday, February 22nd for the State Street Creek and 7th Avenue Creek watersheds. The City’s consultant HR Green, Inc.
